The PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE PROGRAM (PSY)
assists fully registered psychologists to set up, run and grow their own private practice. In this regard, it addresses the four pillars of business (eg., finance, marketing, human/other resources and strategy), plus entrepreneurship. This Program does so with our current legislation and professional ethics in mind. Each seminar addresses a different business topic and there is ample opportunity to apply each topic to your own developing practice.
There are five levels of training, with ten seminars held at each level. The first year is offered annually. Remaining years are offered in alternating years. If you miss a seminar, you can make it up in future years. You are also welcome to revisit seminars as often as you like. Thereafter, starred seminars provide an opportunity to further your learnings.
Completion of the first ten seminars leads to the award of Certificate of Professional Practice Program (PSY). Similarly, a Certificate of Advanced Professional Practice Program (PSY) will be awarded to those who have attended the year 2 seminars. A Certificate of Distinguished Professional Practice Program (PSY) will be awarded to those who have attended the year 3 seminars. The Certificate of Entrepreneurial Professional Practice Program (PSY) will be awarded to those who have attended the year 4 seminars. The Advanced Entrepreneurial Professional Practice Program (PSY) will be awarded to those who have completed the year 5 seminars. And finally, a Starred Certificate of Professional Practice Program (PSY) will be awarded to those who have completed ten starred seminars.
From the 1st July 2010, this training will attract 'active learning' CPD points.
Graduation ceremonies will be held in the following July.

Fees are $33 per
